OCARINA

OCARINA - instrument that have many face.

OCARINA is wind instrument that is played by blowing. The name of OCARINA is Italian word. It means 'a small goose', because OCARINA looks like a goose when it was made at first. And OCARINA is called SWEET POTATO in English speaking world because it looks like a sweet potato too.

The oldest record of OCARINA didn't found, but in Maya, Atec, Inca, there are remains which related OCARINA. In 16 century, OCARINA was enterd Europe because of invade of European. since then , potters of Europe made OCARINA and introduced to people for sales.

In 1853, Giuseppe Donati who lived in Budro, small town of Italy, want to make OCARINA's sound more accurate. So OCARINA of today could be developed thanks to Giuseppe Donati.

The structure of OCARINA is simple. commonly, OCARINA have a hole for blowing and 12 or 4 holes to control the tune. And the figure of OCARINA is various. It can be triangle, retangle, even fish or dolls and cups. There are  many kind of OCARINA. It can be made of plastic, metal, wood, gold, silver and clay.
